Suzuki e-Vitara

Maruti Suzuki is preparing to launch its first electric SUV, the e-Vitara, in December 2025. It will be sold through the company’s premium Nexa showrooms. This model will be based on the Heartect e platform and will mark a new chapter for the company in the electric vehicle segment. The e-Vitara will be known not only for its powerful performance but also for its advanced safety features and luxurious interior. It will feature features like a large touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, and a fully digital driver’s display.

Battery Pack and Range

The e-Vitara is expected to come with two battery options. Both will support fast charging. According to reports, the variant with the larger battery pack will offer a range of over 500 kilometers on a single charge. This range will make it one of the best electric SUVs in its segment.

7-Seater Grand Vitara

Maruti Suzuki is considering introducing a three-row (7-seater) version of the Grand Vitara. This new SUV will directly challenge premium SUVs like the Mahindra XUV700 and Tata Safari. If this project is approved, the extended Grand Vitara could hit the Indian market within the next two years. This vehicle could feature more space and luxury, along with an advanced hybrid powertrain.

Micro SUVs to Gain a Stronghold in the Affordable Segment

The company is also working on a new micro SUV, which could be launched in late 2026 or early 2027. This SUV will be positioned below the Brezza and will directly compete with vehicles like the Tata Punch and Hyundai Xcent. Its most notable feature is its next-generation in-house hybrid engine, which is expected to deliver a mileage of over 35 km/liter.
