1 May Bank Holiday- Banks will be closed in most cities across the country on May 1st. Banks will be closed on May 1st due to Buddha Purnima and May Day. Banks will be closed in all cities except Ahmedabad, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Gangtok, Jaipur, Kohima, and Shillong.
16 May Bank Holiday- Banks will be closed in only one city on May 16th. This city is Gangtok. Banks will be closed on this day due to State Day.
26 May Bank Holiday- Banks will be closed in only one city on May 26th. This city is Agartala. Banks will be closed on this day due to the birthday of Kazi Nazrul Islam.
27 May Bank Holiday- Banks will be closed in many cities across the country on May 27th. Banks will be closed in most cities on this day due to Bakrid (Eid al-Adha). Banks will remain open in only a few cities.
28 May Bank Holiday- Banks will remain closed in many cities across the country on May 28th. Banks will remain closed in some cities due to Bakrid (Eid al-Adha). In most cities, banks will remain open on this day. Apart from these holidays in May, banks will remain closed for 5 days on Sundays and 2 days on second and fourth Saturdays.
