The Hero Splendor Plus is now available at a starting ex-showroom price of ₹73,902 after the GST cut. Its top-of-the-line model, the Splendor Plus Xtec 2.0, is available for around ₹81,000. The TVS Sport, on the other hand, can be purchased at a starting price of just ₹55,100. This represents a significant price difference of approximately ₹18,000 between the two bikes. The TVS Sport has emerged as an affordable and robust option for budget bike buyers.
Features and Technology
Both bikes focus on basic features, but the differences between them are clear in terms of technology and looks. The Hero Splendor Plus features i3S technology, which helps save fuel in traffic. Its Xtec variant includes modern features like Bluetooth connectivity, LED headlamps, a digital-analog instrument cluster, a USB charging port, and a side stand indicator.
The TVS Sport, on the other hand, features ETFI (Eco Thrust Fuel Injection) technology, which improves fuel efficiency. It also features DRLs, a 3D logo, sporty graphics, an eco-meter, and a 5-step adjustable rear suspension. The TVS Sport appeals more to young riders due to its stylish look, while the Splendor is a more practical bike for family use.

The Hero Splendor Plus is powered by a 97.2cc, air-cooled engine that produces 8.02 PS of power and 8.05 Nm of torque. It’s paired with a 4-speed gearbox and drum brakes. The bike weighs 112 kg and has a 9.8-liter fuel tank.
The TVS Sport, meanwhile, has a 109.7cc engine that produces 8.19 PS of power and 8.7 Nm of torque. It also has a 4-speed gearbox. It weighs 110 kg and has a larger 10-liter fuel tank. The Sport is slightly ahead in terms of pickup and power, while the Splendor is lighter and easier to handle.

Mileage and Range
Mileage is the biggest strength of both bikes. The Hero Splendor Plus offers a claimed mileage of 70 kmpl, which is excellent in both city and highway conditions. Meanwhile, the TVS Sport’s mileage ranges from 70 to 95 kmpl, thanks to its ETFI technology. Its large tank gives the Sport a range of over 700 kilometers. This bike could be a good choice for those traveling long distances.
