The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara is one of the most popular hybrid SUVs in the country. The country’s largest car manufacturer has now significantly reduced its prices. These new prices will be effective after the new GST regulations come into effect on September 22nd. Let us tell you how much cheaper the new Grand Vitara has become now.

Significant Price Reduction of the Grand Vitara

The Maruti Grand Vitara was previously selling at a starting ex-showroom price of ₹11,42,000. Now, after the increase in GST and reduction in cess, its prices will decrease. Customers can now purchase the new Grand Vitara at a starting ex-showroom price of just ₹10,76,500.

This means that the price of the base variant has been reduced by a direct ₹65,500. Meanwhile, the top-spec variant will receive a tax exemption of up to ₹1.07 lakh. As mentioned, the new prices will be effective from September 22nd, the first day of Navratri.

Stunning Interior and Features

The Grand Vitara’s cabin is very modern and premium. It features a dual-tone theme (black and burgundy), quilted leatherette seats, and soft-touch materials. The dashboard features a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Features like automatic climate control, a push start/stop button, and wireless charging further enhance its luxury feel. Higher variants also get a spectacular panoramic sunroof and a heads-up display.

The Grand Vitara is quite robust in terms of safety. Six airbags are standard across all variants. Additionally, it offers features like Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill Hold Assist, ABS with EBD, front and rear disc brakes, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and three-point seatbelts.

Powerful Engine and Mileage

The Grand Vitara comes in two engine options: a 1.5-liter K-series petrol engine (103 hp, 135 Nm of torque) and a powerful hybrid engine (115 hp). The 1.5-liter engine in the CNG variant produces 87.8 hp and 121.5 Nm of torque. It is available with a choice of 5-speed manual, 6-speed automatic, and e-CVT transmissions. The hybrid engine has a claimed maximum mileage of 27.97 km/l, making it extremely economical.
