Great news for car buyers before the festive season begins! Great and affordable cars like the Maruti Alto K10 have now become even cheaper after the reduction in GST. Know how much the price of the Maruti Alto K10 has come down due to this big decision of the government, and how it can prove to be a great deal for you.

Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 has always been known for its good mileage and easy driving, which is why it is one of the best-selling cars in India. But now, after the big change in GST rates by the central government, this car has become even cheaper than before. This decision has come into effect from September 22, which has benefited people, especially those buying small vehicles.

New GST rules

The government has reduced the tax on certain types of cars by changing the GST slab. Now, cars with less than 1200cc petrol and less than 1500cc diesel engine, and less than 4 meters will be charged only 18% instead of 28% GST. Maruti Alto K10 falls in this category, due to which its price has come down drastically. Apart from this, vehicles with engines larger than 1500cc and larger than 4 meters will now be charged only 40% GST, due to which the earlier 22% cess has been removed. Overall, now cars will be taxed less, which will reduce their price.

How much reduction in the price of the Maruti Alto K10

After the reduction in GST, a new enthusiasm is being seen in the automobile industry. Many car companies have welcomed this decision and have also announced a reduction in the prices of their vehicles. Maruti Suzuki Chairman RC Bhargava has said that with this change, the company’s most popular cars will now become even cheaper.

According to him, the price of the Maruti Alto K10 can come down by ₹ 40,000 to ₹ 50,000. Along with this, he also said that the price of WagonR can also be reduced by ₹ 60,000 to ₹ 67,000.

Golden opportunity to shop during festivals

In India, people consider it auspicious to buy a new car on the festivals of Dhanteras and Diwali. This reduction in the prices of vehicles is great news for those who are planning to buy a new car this year. This reduction in prices is expected to increase the sales of vehicles during the festive season. This decision is not only beneficial for the consumers, but it will also give a new direction to the automobile industry of the country.
