The company recently launched its new electric SUV, the XEV 9S, which has so many features that it has come to be called the electrified version of the XUV700.

Design

Talking about the XEV 9S, its design is so premium and modern that at first sight people add it to the XUV700. The silhouette of both SUVs is quite similar, whether it is a side profile or a rear section. It is estimated on the same basis that the XUV700 Facelift can also see changes such as new taillamps, rear bumpers and a black-out boot trim panel. Spy shots also feature new alloy wheels, which are styled like aero-design. This will give the SUV a more futuristic appeal.

There are also signs of a major change in front design. The Mahindra facelifted model may include a new grille, a more muscular front bumpers, and new LED headlamps. This update of the front could give the XUV700 a completely new and premium level look, which will easily attract today’s modern SUV buyers.

Feature Upgrade

XEV 9S has created a huge storm in the world of features. The features given in this SUV are still not found in many luxury cars. For this reason, expectations have skyrocketed about the features of the XUV700 Facelift. It is believed that Mahindra can incorporate a triple-screen setup in the facelift, allowing the instrument cluster, infotainment, and co-driver display to be all added to the same panel. This setup is highly inspired by the XEV 9S and will take the XUV700 far ahead technically.

Apart from this, improvements in Level 2+ ADAS technology can also be seen. Camera and sensor setup can be even more advanced, making safety features more effective. ADAS was also given earlier in the XUV700, but now in the facelift this system can come with a new capability. Given the features of the XEV 9S, it is also believed that the XUV700’s second-row may also include sliding and ventilated seats, allowing the cabin comfort to reach a new level.

Along with this, features like 540-degree camera, auto park assist, AR-based head-up display are also expected to be included in the facelift. Features such as 16-speaker Harman Kardon system, ambient lighting, Secure360 monitoring system, cabin air purifier and first and second row wireless charging can also be potentially added to the package.

Engine and Performance

The engine options of the XUV700 are already quite strong and reliable, so there is little chance of change. The new XUV700 Facelift can only continue with the existing 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine and 2.2-liter diesel engine.

Its Petrol engine gives power of around 197bhp and 380Nm, while the diesel engine gives output of 182bhp and 420Nm. The Diesel model also has an option of AWD, and its continuation in the facelift is almost certain.

Price

If such major changes can be seen in design and features, then the price increase is almost certain. The estimated on-road price of the new XUV700 Facelift can start from Rs 17 lakh and go up to Rs 32 lakh. Like the XEV 9S, if it also includes many premium technologies, then even a slightly higher price will be absolutely justified.
