PM Kisan Yojana: Farmers registered under the PM Kisan Yojana and eagerly awaiting the 22nd installment of the PM Kisan Yojana will soon find their wait over. The 21st installment of the Kisan Yojana was released by the government on November 19, 2025. More than 9 crore farmers benefited from the 21st installment, receiving 2,000 rupees each in their accounts.
Under the PM Kisan scheme, eligible farmers receive Rs 2,000 every four months, totaling Rs 6,000 a year. This amount is disbursed in three installments. The scheme was first announced in the Interim Budget 2019 and later launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Today, it is the world’s largest direct benefit transfer (DBT) program, providing essential financial assistance to millions of farmers across the country.
When will the 22nd installment of PM Kisan Yojana come?
The 19th installment of the PM-KISAN scheme was released on February 24, 2025, followed by the 20th installment on August 2, 2025. The 22nd installment is expected to be credited in the last quarter of 2025 or early 2026. According to information received, the government may release the 22nd installment in February 2026.
According to the scheme’s rules, the next installment is disbursed after four months. Therefore, the 22nd installment may be released by the end of February. However, the exact date will only be confirmed after an official announcement from the government.
Is it necessary to do this work to get the 22nd installment?
If you want to receive the 22nd installment, complete your e-KYC immediately. The government has clearly stated that no farmer will receive the money without completing the e-KYC process.
Many farmers still haven’t completed their e-KYC. Such farmers won’t receive their installments in their bank accounts. Additionally, farmers will need to complete land verification. This wasn’t previously required, but the government has now mandated it for greater transparency.
Farmers who wish to receive the 22nd installment will have to complete their e-KYC using the below steps:
Visit the official website of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
On the home page, find the e-KYC link and click on it.
A new page will appear where you will have to enter your Aadhaar number.
Then click on the search button. You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.
Enter the OTP in the box provided and click on submit.
