The government has reduced the tax on vehicles longer than 4 meters and with engine capacity exceeding 1500 hp from 48% to 40%. Previously, these vehicles were subject to 28% GST and 22% cess. After the GST reduction, the Mahindra XUV 700 is receiving significant price discounts ranging from ₹88,900 to ₹1.43 lakh. This benefit varies across variants. The Mahindra XUV 700 MX variant is seeing savings of ₹88,900. The AX3 variant has seen a significant price reduction of ₹1.6 lakh. The AX5 S variant has seen a price reduction of ₹1.10 lakh. The biggest benefit is available on the top-spec AX7 L variant, which has seen a price reduction of up to ₹1.43 lakh.
Mahindra XUV 700 Engine and Mileage Information
The Mahindra XUV 700 comes with two powerful engine options. The first is a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine that produces 197 bhp and 380 Nm of torque. The second is a 2.2-liter mHawk diesel engine that produces 182 bhp and 420 Nm of torque. Both engines are available with a choice of 6-speed manual and automatic gearboxes. All-wheel drive (AWD) is also available in its top variants.
In terms of mileage, the petrol variant gives a mileage of 8.5 kmpl in the city and 11 kmpl on the highway. The diesel variant, on the other hand, gives an excellent fuel efficiency of 13.5 kmpl in the city and 16.5 to 18.5 kmpl on the highway.
