design

Mahindra Vision X concept looks more sleek and aggressive than the XUV 3XO. It has muscular hood contours, slim horizontal DRLs and a large air dam with an X-shaped pattern. The front design of the XUV 3XO is a bit chunky, with flange-shaped LED DRLs and projector headlights. While both SUVs have the ‘Twin Peaks’ logo on the grille, the Vision X’s grille looks more refined.

From the side, the Vision X has smooth curves and premium finishing, while the XUV 3XO’s design is a bit boxy. Both have thick side cladding and roof rails, but the Vision X gets silver-finished side skirts and flush-type door handles, which make it more modern. Talking about its wheels, the Vision X runs on 19-inch aero-styled alloy wheels, while the XUV 3XO has 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels.

Features

On the other hand, the Vision X’s dashboard looks more modern and futuristic from inside. It has a 2-spoke steering wheel and a curved display setup, which includes both infotainment and driver display. The AC vents are neatly integrated on the side, below which the climate control display is provided.

Whereas the XUV 3XO’s interior is available in dual-tone (white and black) theme. It has a 10.25-inch floating touchscreen, 10.25-inch digital driver display and 4-spoke steering wheel. The design of the AC vents is traditional and chrome finishing is given around them.

XUV 3XO has features like dual-zone AC, wireless charger, panoramic sunroof and 7-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. Not many details are available about the features of the Vision X concept yet, but it is believed that even more advanced technology will be provided in the production version.

Performance

The Vision X concept is built on Mahindra’s new Nu IQ platform, which supports both ICE (petrol/diesel) and EV versions. However, its engine details have not been revealed yet.

Price

The production version of the Mahindra Vision X could be launched by 2028-29. Currently, the XUV 3XO is priced between ₹ 7.99 lakh and ₹ 15.79 lakh (ex-showroom) and competes with the Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet and Skoda.
