Mahindra Scorpio N Pickup Truck – Discussion of pickup trucks is slowly intensifying in the Indian automobile market, and the biggest reason for this is the increasing demand for lifestyle vehicles. After the SUV, people are now looking at vehicles that are also strong and can play adventure work well with every day.
Holding the same trend, Mahindra & Mahindra is working on a new Scorpio N-based pickup truck, which has recently been seen again during testing. Repeated spy photos are clearly indicating that the project is now heading towards the last stage and its entry in 2026 is almost considered fixed.

Design
This new pickup truck from Mahindra definitely draws inspiration from the existing Scorpio N, but cannot be called a direct copy. Test pictures that were initially revealed showed a single-cab layout and a longer cargo bed, pointing to greater commercial use. However, recent spy images have seen the dual-cab version, which is considered more practical than Indian customers.

Looking at the design, it is being estimated that this pickup will be largely an Inspire from the Global Pik Up concept. Its stance looks more straightforward and stronger than Scorpio N. Wide wheel arch, muscular body panels and small but strong load beds make it a lifestyle-oriented pickup, not just a workhorse.

Concept
The story of this pickup truck begins in November 2023, when Mahindra’s design patent images were leaked online. These sketches largely matched the Global Pik Up concept, which the company introduced in South Africa’s Futurescape event that same year. Mahindra made it clear at that time that this concept is not just a show car, but it will be brought into production.
dual-cab layout shown in the concepts and patent drawings is now seen in the latest test vehicles. It is clear that Mahindra is working on more family-friendly and lifestyle-focused pickups for India. The Z121 codename has been given to this project internally.
