Mahindra BE 6 Electric SUV: Mahindra is bringing some new surprise every month in the race for electric SUVs. This time too, the brand has teased something that has raised the expectations of EV lovers. Mahindra’s Scream Electric Event, to be held in late November, is now going to be larger than before, as another new electric SUV is set to be launched before the XEV 9S. It is clear from the teaser that this will be a special new variant of the popular BE6, not a brand new model.

Mahindra BE 6
Mahindra has confirmed that a new version of BE 6 will be launched on 26 November. Since the company is also scheduled to offer its first three-row all-electric SUV XEV 9S on 27 November 2025, it is clear that Mahindra wants to continuously strengthen its EV line-up.
Talking about Teaser, the design cues seen in it are exactly the same as BE 6. Therefore it would not be wrong to say that the new model can be a special edition or an affordable entry-level variant based on BE 6. Given the success of Batman Edition, Mahindra may bring another themed edition.
Formula E Inspired Edition
Mahindra has long been active in Formula E with its electric racing team. It is therefore being speculated that this new edition may be a commemorative model based on the same.
The red body color theme seen in Teaser also indicates this. However, no major cosmetic changes are visible, making it appear that it will not be much flashy but a balanced update.
Another big indication from this was not seen in the iconic C-shaped LED DRLs teaser of BE6. This may mean that Mahindra is preparing to remove some features and introduce the new trim in a fairly affordable price. The base price of the BE6 is currently ₹18.90 lakh (ex-showroom), and the new variant may come in even lower prices.
BE 6 & XEV 9e
It has been a year since BE 6 and XEV 9e were launched in India. Of these, BE 6 sporty electric SUV seekers are more liked, while XEV 9e attracts practical and family-friendly buyers. Now Mahindra aims to extend BE 6 to more wide audience. And an affordable variant can become the greatest weapon of this strategy.
BE6 with cost-cutting features such as basic DRLs, compact feature set or low premium elements can emerge as a value-for-money electric SUV.
XEV 9S
Mahindra’s upcoming XEV 9S, which is based on INGLO platform like BE 6 and XEV 9e, will be the largest attraction of this entire event. This SUV will come with inspired design from the XUV.e8 concept and offer two battery options.

The company is claiming that the real-world range can be 500 km+, which would make it a strong contender in the long-range EV category. The launch of the XEV 9S will take place at the end of next year, but the new variant of the BE 6 has arrived in spotlight like a warm-up act before that.
