Mahindra BE.07 Launch Date : If you’ve been eagerly awaiting Mahindra’s next big and high-tech electric SUV, here’s a crucial update. Indian auto giant Mahindra has officially confirmed that its new all-electric SUV, previously internally codenamed B07, will hit Indian roads in 2027. This impressive vehicle is the true production version of the acclaimed ‘BE.07’ concept showcased in 2022 and garnered worldwide acclaim.
Mahindra’s ‘Born Electric’ Journey
In August 2022, Mahindra unveiled five futuristic concepts from its ‘Born Electric’ series at a grand event in London. These five powerful vehicles laid a strong foundation for Mahindra’s new electric portfolio. As part of its strategy, the company has launched three successful models to date, including the BE.05, rebranded as the ‘BE6’, and the XUV.e9, rebranded as the ‘XEV 9e’. The company is now focused on the upcoming B07, which is considered a ‘volume driver,’ meaning it has the potential to break all previous sales records.
INGLO Platform and Unparalleled Performance
The upcoming B07 is built on Mahindra’s state-of-the-art and fully indigenous ‘INGLO’ architecture, a modern skateboard platform. This platform is specifically designed for electric vehicles, ensuring improved space and safety. In terms of performance, customers can expect to find large battery pack options ranging from 60 kWh to 80 kWh. Mahindra claims that its large battery can deliver a remarkable range of 500 to 650 kilometers on a single full charge, completely eliminating range anxiety.
Furthermore, this SUV will be capable of generating approximately 230 bhp of power and a massive 400 Nm of torque, making it a powerful player in both city traffic and highway traffic. With ultra-fast charging, the car can be charged up to 80 percent in just 30 minutes.
Futuristic Cabin and Triple Screens
The biggest attraction of the new Mahindra BE.07 will be its interior, which will feel like a luxury lounge. The concept model featured a massive ‘triple-screen’ dashboard spanning the entire width of the vehicle, featuring a digital cluster for the driver, the main infotainment center, and a separate entertainment screen for the passenger.
The cabin has been designed to be completely button-less, with most essential controls relying on touch and haptic feedback technology, making it incredibly easy to operate and futuristic. It is expected to feature a massive panoramic sunroof, comfortable seats made of premium vegan leather, and a 16-speaker high-end audio system that will be a boon for music lovers.
Level 2+ ADAS and Robust Build
Mahindra has always been a leader in safety, and the upcoming BE.07 will continue this tradition. It will feature state-of-the-art ‘Level 2+ ADAS’ features, including autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. Additionally, 360-degree vision radar and at least seven airbags are expected to be standard, ensuring all-around safety for passengers. The vehicle will also feature over-the-air (OTA) updates, allowing for automatic software and feature updates. Its robust build and advanced technology will make it one of the safest electric SUVs on Indian roads.
