A new name has now been added to the Indian sports bike segment, especially for riders who want both a racing look and performance, but not a heavy price for a larger engine. Price
The KTM RC 160 has been launched especially with riders who want to go one step ahead of the Duke 160 to experience a full-faring bike. Interestingly, this bike is close to βΉ6,000 expensive from the top variants of the 160 Duke, which gets a TFT display.
The focus of the RC 160 is clean style, riding posture and track-inspired feel. This is why KTM has distinguished it from Duke and made the entry gate of the RC lineup.

Design
Talking about design, the KTM RC 160 does not seem to be a small bike from any angle at first sight. It has the same aggressive fairing, sharp body lines and racing-inspired profile as seen in its older brothers RC 200 and RC 390.

Clip-on handlebars, rear-set footpags and sculpted metal fuel tanks give it a fully sports bike stance. While walking on the road, its presence is such that people can cheat on it as a 160cc segment bike.
Engine and Performance
KTM RC 160 offers the same 164.2cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, which is also used in the 160 Duke. This engine generates power of 18.73 bhp at 9,500 rpm and torque of 15.5 Nm at 7,500 rpm.

The engine’s nature is free-raving, showing its true strength at high rpm. It feels smooth in the city, while on the open road it enjoys sporty riding. KTM claims that the RC 160 has a top speed of 118 kmph, which is considered quite respectable according to this segment.

Chassis, Suspension and Braking Setup
KTM RC 160 is designed on the same trellis frame used in 160 Duke. Suspension duty is provided with 37mm USD front forks and rear monoshock.
The responsibility for its braking is 320mm front disc and 230mm rear disc handle. This is accompanied by dual-channel ABS, which also has Supermoto mode. This setup keeps the bike under control even during hard braking and gives confidence to the rider.
