Kia Syros EV India Launch Update: The craze for electric vehicles in the Indian automobile market is growing day by day, and South Korean giant Kia Motors is preparing to launch its most affordable and powerful electric car, the Syros EV. According to media reports, the Kia Syros EV has been spotted undergoing rigorous testing on Indian roads, indicating an imminent launch. If you’re looking for an electric car in the ₹14 lakh to ₹18 lakh budget by mid-2026 that offers the perfect combination of style, space, and speed, this new update to the Kia Syros EV is set to be a game-changer.

Kia Syros EV Design and Exterior

The Kia Syros EV, recently spied testing, looks largely similar to its petrol variant, but the company has made several significant cosmetic changes to give it a distinct “electric” identity. Spy images clearly show a charging port on the front left fender, setting it apart from conventional cars.

It also features neon green brake callipers and specially designed aerodynamic alloy wheels that help increase range by reducing air pressure. Its tall and boxy design gives it a strong road presence, while vertical LED headlights and L-shaped DRLs give it a modern look reminiscent of Kia’s premium EV9 series.

Powerful Performance and Range

The Kia Syros EV is built on Hyundai and Kia’s renowned K1 platform, which is known globally for its compact yet robust vehicles. Customers can expect to find two different battery pack options to suit their needs. The 42 kWh battery pack will be ideal for those who primarily travel within the city, offering a range of approximately 330 km.

The larger 49 kWh battery pack is for long-drive enthusiasts who want a proven range of 370 to 400 km on a single charge. Best of all, the car will feature ultra-fast charging, allowing it to charge from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes. The use of NMC battery chemistry is expected to ensure a long battery life and warranty.

Interior and Tech Features

The Kia Syros EV’s cabin will feel like a futuristic luxury car, with no shortage of features. It is expected to feature a massive 30-inch ‘Trinity Display’, which will integrate both the infotainment system and the driver’s instrument cluster into a single screen. For a premium feel inside the cabin, features like a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, and a powerful sound system are expected to ensure a comfortable ride.

Kia has made no compromises on safety, either, as it will get a Level 2 ADAS safety suite with 6 airbags and a 360-degree camera that will provide safety cover to the driver and passengers with over 16 advanced safety features like blind spot monitoring and automatic emergency braking.
