Honda unveiled a near-production compact EV, named Super-ONE, alongside the India-bound 0 α SUV at the Japan Mobility Show 2025. The production model will go on sale in its home market and select countries in Asia and Oceania under the name Honda Super-ONE, although it will be called Super-N for the UK market. Let’s tell you today why this compact EV could be an ideal choice for driving enthusiasts.
Exterior Design
The Super-ONE is designed as a tall-boy hot hatchback with sporty aspirations, previewed by the Super EV concept at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The electric hot hatchback has a low and wide stance; a look enhanced by flared fenders and 8-spoke black alloy wheels pushed to the corners. The nose features the standard Honda logo (not the stylish one seen on the 0 Series EVs) and charging port flaps framed by circular headlights.

The front bumper has vertical air ducts for aerodynamic and cooling purposes, which are mirrored on the rear bumper. Rectangular taillights sit at the lower corners of the large rear windscreen, and there’s a prominent yet tasteful rear spoiler. The design is like a young athlete – stylish in appearance but ready for any challenge.
Interior and Features
The interior of the Super-ONE features a deliberately horizontal layout, Honda says – from the infotainment touchscreen and digital instrument cluster to the air vents and two-spoke steering wheel. Other interior highlights include sports seats, blue accents in the cabin, and physical buttons and knobs for various controls. This interior is like a modern office – where everything is in its place and easy to use.
Technical Specifications
The Honda Super-ONE adheres to Japan’s Kei car specifications and is less than 3.4 meters in length. Other technical details have not yet been revealed, but the compact EV gets a boost mode that increases power output, and it features a simulated 7-speed transmission that is said to reproduce the gearshift feel of a traditional gearbox. Virtual engine sounds will also be offered to engage driving enthusiasts. This technology is like a smart trainer – teaching you new technology while also preserving the familiar experience.

India Launch
Although Honda has not yet officially confirmed the launch of the Super-ONE in India, the company’s increasing focus on electric vehicles in the Indian market suggests that this car may appear on Indian roads in the future. This could be very exciting news for Indian customers as it will offer a new option in the compact EV segment. If this car is launched in India, it could be perfect for those who want a small, efficient, and fun electric car for city driving.
