Affordable compact SUVs are making a splash in the Indian market. Honda also sells its Elevate in this segment. However, the sales of Elevate have been quite slow in front of powerful vehicles like Hyundai Creta and Maruti Grand Vitara.

New trick to increase sales

Honda has now started CNG retrofit kit installation in view of the sluggish sales of its Elevate. This means that customers will now be able to buy a petrol Honda Elevate and get a CNG kit installed in it. However, this CNG kit will not be factory-fitted by the company, but it will be installed at the dealership level.

For more information about this, customers can contact their nearest Honda showroom. It is expected that the CNG option will prove to be effective in making Elevate accessible to more customers, especially those who are looking for an SUV with low running cost.

Price and variants

The starting ex-showroom price of Honda Elevate in the Indian market is ₹ 11.91 lakh. At the same time, for its top-end variant, you will have to pay ₹ 16.73 lakh (ex-showroom). This SUV is available in four variants: SV, V, VX and ZX. These variants offer different features according to different budgets and needs.

CNG option with petrol power

Honda Elevate has a 1.5-liter petrol engine, which generates 121 PS of power and 145 Nm of torque. With this, 6-speed manual and CVT transmission options are available. The company claims that Elevate is capable of giving a maximum mileage of up to 16.92 kilometers per liter.

Now with the option of CNG, the running cost will be reduced even more, although the mileage figures on CNG have not been revealed yet. It is now expected that the CNG kit will be available with the upcoming manual variant.

Features and Specifications

The interior of Honda Elevate is attractive and comfortable. It has features like 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, sunroof, 7-inch semi-digital driver display, wireless connectivity, automatic climate control and wireless phone charger. These features help it compete with other vehicles in its segment.

Strong security arrangements

Honda Elevate has many great features in terms of security as well. All variants get 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, hill start assist and rear parking camera as standard. At the same time, Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) has also been provided in its top variants, under which features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Auto Emergency Braking and Auto High Beam Assist are available.
