Engine
The new Xpulse 210 features a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine of 210cc, generating a power of 24.6hp and a torque of 20.7Nm. This engine comes with 6 speed gearbox, which gives more smooth riding on the highway. At the same time the Xpulse 200 4V has an air-cooled engine of 199.6cc which produces a power of 19.1hp and torque of 17.35Nm. It gets a 5-speed gearbox, which is decent but may fall slightly short for long rides.
It is clear that the Xpulse 210 is quite advanced in both engine and transmission cases. Liquid-cooled technology makes the bike more stable and efficient, especially when it comes to high RPM performance.
Acceleration
Hero Xpulse 210 has 0-60 kmph time 3.9 seconds and 0-100 kmph time is 11.2 seconds. At the same time the Xpulse 200 4V takes 4.33 seconds and 13.52 seconds in these ranges. That is, the Xpulse 210 picks up and bets in top speed.
Although 200 4V is about 9 kg lighter, its acceleration capacity can still be considered good. The bike is not far behind in performance, despite being slightly less powerful, reflecting Hero’s tuning capability.
Braking Test
Both bikes have same braking setup – 276mm front disc and 220mm rear disc brake. In our test, Xpulse 210 showed 17.89 meters at 60–0 kmph, while Xpulse 200 4V showed the result of stopping at 18.11 meters.
The difference is minor, but the 210’s braking seems a bit more reliable. Yes, both bikes have a front fork dive feel, which is common for adventure bikes.
