Kawasaki Z650 and Z650RS – If the beginning of the year is accompanied by a spectacular deal, then there is something else of fun. Kawasaki India has done exactly that. Under the New Year 2026 offers, the company has made heavy discounts on its two popular middleweight motorcycles Kawasaki Z650 and Kawasaki Z650RS.

These offers are valid as of 31 January 2026, ie if you had been dreaming of taking Kawasaki for a long time, now timing looks quite right. Discounts are applied directly to the ex-showroom price, making bikes now more attractive than before.

Prices

First of all, the ex-showroom price of this bike was ₹7.26 lakhs, but after a straight discount of ₹27,000 it is now available in ₹6.99 lakhs. It is like breaking the psychological barrier, because now the Z650 has come in at seven lakhs.

On the other hand Kawasaki Z650RS, known for retro-modern design, has been cut by ₹20,000. Its new ex-showroom price has now increased to ₹7.63 lakhs. Previously where this bike seemed a bit expensive, now the value-for-money equation seems to be getting better after discount.

Z650RS

Let me tell you that Kawasaki launched the 2026 model of the Z650RS some time ago, which came with the E20 fuel competition. At that time the bike was priced at ₹14,000 more than before, which also led to some buyers disapproved.

But now the scene has changed completely. The Z650RS has not only become cheaper than the MY26 after current discount, but it is also getting ₹6,000 lower prices than the MY25 model, which had ex-showroom price ₹7.69 lakhs. In saying so, the bike with retro look and modern tech has now become more logical choice than before.

Design

Kawasaki has kept clear that both the Z650 and Z650RS are mechanically unchanged. While the Z650 gives aggressive naked streetfighter vibe, the Z650RS offers the perfect blend of modern engineering with a classic-retro design. Round headlamp, classic paint schemes and upright stance give it a distinct identity, while from the inside it is completely modern Kawasaki.

Engine

Talking about Engine, both bikes have a liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine of same 649cc. This engine generate power of about 67bhp, which gives balanced output for both city and highway.

There is definitely a slight difference in Torque figures. The engine in the Z650 produces torque of 64Nm, while in the Z650RS it is 62.1Nm. This difference does not feel much in practical riding, but the character seems different. The Z650 gives a little sporty feel, while the Z650RS focus on smooth and relaxed riding experience.

Discount Strategy

Not only the Z650 and Z650RS, Kawasaki has announced heavy discounts on his entire lineup as well. The company has offered discounts of up to ₹2.50 lakhs on individual models, ranging from flagship ZX-10R to entry-level Ninja 300.
