BMW F 450 GS: Sometimes a bike makes it clear at the first glance that it is designed not just for roads, but for real adventures. BMW Motorrad’s new BMW F 450 GS is exactly the same type of machine. After already making a splash in international markets, this bike is now about to step into India. It is expected that BMW can showcase it during the India Bike Week (19–20 December) to be held in Goa next month.

𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲
The true magic of the BMW F 450 GS is hidden in its newly-developed 420 cc parallel-twin engine. It comes with engine 135-degree crankpin offset, giving it an engaging and punky character. It also has balance shaft to keep vibrations in control.

Talking about power output, this bike produces 48 hp power and 43 Nm torque. With six-speed transmission it has slipper and assist clutch standard, which makes downshifting smooth. Its Fuel efficiency is about 3.8 L / 100 km and its range comfortably crosses 350 km+ according to international tests.
𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶-𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗵
Let me tell you that BMW’s semi-automatic clutch system is one of the most special features of this bike. This significantly reduces clutch usage, ie slow-speed city traffic or off-road manoeuvres, reducing the mess of manual clutch play to rider. With this system, BMW has also provided Shift Assistant Pro, which leads to clutch-less gear shifting possible.
𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗔𝗗𝗩 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱
The BMW F 450 GS is built on a new tubular steel frame. Ready-to-ride weight is just 178 kg, which makes it quite light and agile in its segment. Keeping in mind the off-road capabilities, Suspension KYB has prepared. It gets 43 mm USD forks in Front and monoshock setup in rear. Adjustable sport suspension is also given in Higher variants.

The braking system is equally capable. Brembo in front and ByBre calipers have been used in rear. Safety tech includes cornering ABS, traction control, engine brake control and Dynamic Brake Control, giving bike confident feel on every terrain.

BMW offers the bike in four variants Basic, Exclusive, Sport, and GS Trophy. Each variant also comes with a host of adventure-focused upgrades like aluminum engine guards, off-road footrests, hand guards, sport suspension, and premium color options like Racing Red / Racing Blue Metallic.
