Skoda Kushaq facelift 2026 – Skoda Auto India has released a new teaser of its upcoming 2026 Skoda Kushaq Facelift. This time the company has not just glimpsed the design, but has created an atmosphere inspired by Bollywood’s most iconic love story, which touches the heart directly. Prior to the official launch on 20 January 2026, this teaser appears to be trying to give Kushaq a new identity.
DDLJ-Inspired Teaser
This latest teaser from Skoda is not just a promotional video, but an emotional statement. The backdrop of the mustard fields, the green cloth waving in the air and written on the screen “Get ready to fall in love”— are all clearly reminiscent of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.
Through this romantic setup, Skoda wants to convey the message that the new Kushaq is trying to fall in love with customers, not just a facelift. While most teasers are aggressive or take-focused, Skoda has chosen the path of emotion.
New LED DRL Signature
As the cover rises slightly in the teaser, the new LED DRLs appear clean. The front now has a full-width LED DRL strip view, which gives the SUV a wider and premium look than before. It is also shown with a glimpse of sharp LED elements and a changed grill.
This new front face seems more modern and bold than the existing Kushaq. To be called clear, this change is like a remix of an old favorite song identity same, but feel completely new.
Rear LED Update
Skoda has also given a large visual update at the back. The teaser has a clean view connected LED light bar, in the middle of which illuminated SKODA lettering is given. The design is inspired by Skoda’s new Global Models and gives Kushaq more premium appeal.
This change makes the rear profile of the SUV look much wider and stable. At night, this lighting setup is going to give Kushaq a different identity on the road.

Shape
Although major changes are seen in lighting and facia, Kushaq’s overall silhouette is well-known. Skoda is focusing on new bumpers, updated lights and fine detailing while retaining the existing body structure.
This approach seems sensible, as Kushaq’s basic design is already considered balanced. Now he is just being polished a little more, so that he does not fade between the new launches.

Feature-Heavy Facelift
The 2026 Kushaq Facelift arrives at a time when the mid-size SUV segment is heating up. SUVs like the Tata Sierra and the new Kia Seltos have significantly raised the bar for features. Consequently, Skoda is leaving no stone unturned this time around.

According to spy shots and reports, the new Kushaq could receive updates like a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, rear disc brakes, and improved AC performance. A refreshed infotainment system and instrument cluster graphics will also be seen.
Most of the buzz is surrounding Level-2 ADAS, which is becoming a must-have feature in this segment. If Skoda incorporates it, the Kushaq will directly become one of the top contenders in the segment.

Engines
Skoda isn’t taking any major risks when it comes to engines. The 2026 Kushaq Facelift is expected to continue with the same reliable 1.0L and 1.5L TSI turbo-petrol engines.
1.5L engine will be paired with a 7-speed DSG gearbox as before, while the 1.0L engine could see a new 8-speed automatic along with a manual. This means the driving experience will be refreshed, but reliability will remain.
