Every new year brings new expectations for the automobile industry, but January 2026 is going to be very special for the Indian car market. With the start of the new year, 7 new cars are going to be entered in the market, including EVs, brand new models and facelifts of popular SUVs. Big names like Kia, Maruti Suzuki, Renault, Skoda, Mahindra, Nissan and Tata Motors are included in this race.

New-Gen Kia Seltos

One of the most talked about launches of January 2026 is the new generation Kia Seltos. Kia has recently introduced this SUV in the Indian market and its price announcement is scheduled to take place on 2 January 2026. Delivery is expected to begin with mid-January.

The new Seltos is built on a brand new K3 platform and has already grown in size. It is 95mm longer, 30mm wider than the old model and its wheelbase is 80mm higher. Engine options are kept reliable. 1.5L NA petrol, 1.5L turbo diesel and 1.5L tGDi petrol. Currently its bookings have started at ₹25,000 token amounts.

Maruti Suzuki’s first electric car e Vitara had been waiting for a long time. The car has already been showcased and is expected to announce its prices in January 2026.

Renault Duster

Renault has confirmed that the new generation Duster will be introduced in India on 26 January 2026. Although the launch date is not yet fixed, the SUV is believed to be unveiling.

The new Duster will be based on the CMF-B platform and is expected to get 1.3L turbo petrol engine, which will give 154 bhp and 250 Nm torque. The company is also working on a localised hybrid powertrain. In terms of design, it will be similar to the international model, but some India-specific changes will definitely be seen.

Skoda Kushaq Facelift

Skoda Kushaq is scheduled to receive its first mid-life facelift in January 2026. The facelift model can see the new front face, new alloy wheels and refreshed rear profiles.

Features such as panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera and Level 2 ADAS are expected to be added with light changes inside the cabin as well. Engine options will remain the same with 1.0L TSI and 1.5L TSI petrol, both manual and automatic options.

Mahindra XUV7XO

Mahindra will launch the facelift of its popular SUV XUV700 on 5 January 2026, named XUV7XO. The SUV will feature a new exterior design and updated interior, inspired by the recently launched XEV 9S.

The biggest highlight is its triple-screen dashboard layout. Also features like massage front seats, rear ventilated seats (in 6-seater), 16-speaker sound system and multi-colour ambient lighting make it more premium. The engine lineup will remain the same with 2.0L mStallion petrol and 2.2L mHawk diesel.

Nissan Gravite

Nissan is going to step into the compact MPV segment for the first time with Gravite. It will debut in MPV January 2026, while prices will be announced in March 2026.
