Mahatari Vandan Yojana: The central and state governments are running various schemes for women across the country. One such initiative is the Mahtari Vandan Yojana in Chhattisgarh. Recently, the state government has released the 22nd installment of this program, transferring Rs 1000 to the accounts of eligible women.
So far, funds have been sent to 67,71,012 women. The primary goal of this scheme is to economically empower women, encouraging their involvement in family matters. This financial support allows women to cover essential expenses or even start their own small businesses or industries.
This initiative provides financial aid to all eligible women, not just married ones, but also divorced and widowed women, helping them achieve self-sufficiency. Launched on March 1, 2024, the Mahtari Vandan Yojana is making a significant impact on women’s lives. Each month, an honorarium of Rs 1,000 is given under this scheme.
What did the state CM say?
State Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai remarked that the Mahatari Vandan Yojana exemplifies the government’s dedication to the respect, safety, and economic independence of our mothers and sisters. CM Sai emphasized that the women of Chhattisgarh are the backbone of family, societal, and state progress, and empowering them is crucial for a robust state. He also pointed out that the monthly direct fund transfers to their bank accounts not only offer financial assistance but also help mothers fulfill their family’s nutritional, health, and educational requirements.
It’s important to mention that the Mahtari Vandan Yojana was inaugurated in Chhattisgarh on March 10, 2024, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This scheme provides every eligible woman in the state with financial support of Rs 12,000 each year, with Rs 1,000 being deposited into their accounts every month.

If any eligible woman in Chhattisgarh hasn’t seen the Mahatari Vandan Yojana funds credited to her bank account, she can file an inquiry or complaint using the following methods to ensure her issue gets sorted out quickly and the funds are transferred to her account.
1. First, the beneficiary needs to head over to the official Mahatari Vandan Yojana website at mahtarivandan.cgstate.gov.in.
2. Next, on the homepage, click on the “Complaint” option.
3. A new page will pop up where you’ll need to input your beneficiary number, mobile number, or Aadhaar number along with the captcha code.
4. After that, provide all the details regarding your complaint. This will register your complaint.
