LPG Gas: In India, every household kitchen has LPG cylinders. These cylinders are crucial and widely used for domestic gas needs, but we’ve all faced the hassle of running out of gas in the middle of cooking. Today, we’re here to introduce a solution: the Double Bottle Connection, or DBC. This service allows LPG customers to have two gas cylinders registered at the same address.
What’s the Double Bottle Connection (DBC)?
The Double Bottle Connection (DBC) is a service that lets customers book two LPG cylinders under their name at one address, helping to tackle the issue of unexpected gas shortages. When one cylinder runs out, you can quickly switch to the other and send the empty one for refilling. This service is available at all gas agencies like HP Gas, Bharat Gas, and Indian Gas. Customers can access this service through any registered gas agency.
How to book a Double Bottle Connection (DBC)?
You don’t need to go to the gas agency to book a double bottle connection (DBC); you can do it online from home. Here’s the official link for you to register easily.

To get the Double Bottle Connection (DBC), you’ll need a few documents, such as your Aadhaar card, gas book or consumer number, and your registered mobile number.
To obtain DBC, you’ll also have to pay an extra security deposit for the second cylinder. This fee can differ based on the gas company (Indane, HP, Bharat Gas) and current market rules.
You can also visit your gas agency in person to request the Double Bottle Connection (DBC), where you’ll need to fill out a form and provide necessary documents like your Aadhar Card, PAN Card, and Mobile Number.
Buying a second cylinder requires a lump sum payment, which includes a security deposit, the cost of the first refill, and sometimes a regulator or pipe charge. The total cost typically ranges from Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,500, though this may vary slightly depending on the city and company. This amount is a one-time payment. After that, consumers pay the same standard refill price for both cylinders as they would for the first.
