Ayushman Bal Sambal Yojana: The Rajasthan government has launched the Chief Minister Ayushman Bal Sambal Yojana to make treatment accessible and accessible for children suffering from serious and rare diseases. Many children in the state are unable to receive timely treatment for rare and serious diseases. Due to the high cost of treatment, families often abandon treatment, leading to serious consequences. This scheme, launched under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, is an important step towards giving these children a new lease on life.
Benefits Under the Scheme
Under this scheme, eligible children are provided free treatment up to ₹50 lakh. Additionally, the family is provided with financial assistance of ₹5,000 per month, which helps cover other expenses incurred during treatment. This assistance not only reduces the burden of treatment but also provides mental relief to the families.
Application Process and Required Documents
The application process for availing the scheme is simple and completely transparent. Interested families can apply through an e-Mitra centre or online using their SSO ID. Biometric or OTP verification is required for verification. A certificate of the child’s rare disease is mandatory for application, which is provided online by the nodal officers of AIIMS Jodhpur and JK Lon Hospital, Jaipur. This certificate plays a key role in determining eligibility.
Who Can Apply
To avail the scheme, the child must be a native of Rajasthan. If the family is not a native of the state, they may still be eligible, provided they have been residing in Rajasthan for the last three years. The government’s goal is to ensure that no child is deprived of treatment due to serious illnesses, nor should any family face financial difficulties.
