What ingredients are required to make saffron kheer?
Milk – 1 litre (full cream)
Sugar – 200 grams
Rice – 100 grams (small-grained)
Dry fruits – 2 tablespoons (cashews, almonds, pistachios, raisins)
Saffron – 8-10 strands
How is saffron kheer prepared for Vivah Panchami?
Step 1 – First, place a heavy-bottomed or non-stick pan on the stove. Add 1 litre of milk to the pan and bring it to a boil.
Step 2 – When it first boils, reduce the heat to low. Then, add the soaked rice and saffron to the milk and let it simmer over low heat, stirring occasionally.
Step 3 – When the milk reduces to 70%, add sugar and stir until it dissolves well.
Step 4 – Then, mash the kheer slightly with a ladle so that the rice and milk are well mixed. Now, add the dried fruits to the kheer and mix.
Step 5—Now turn off the gas and add the remaining dry fruits on top, and now your saffron kheer prasad is ready.
