UP Home Guard 41,424 Post Recruitment Live. Big news for young people in Uttar Pradesh waiting to become Home Guard volunteers. The Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has begun the recruitment process for Home Guard volunteers for 41,424 positions across the state. The online application process has opened, and candidates can apply until December 17, 2025. This recruitment process is divided by district, and 20% of the positions are reserved for women. Online Application Dates

The recruitment board began the online registration process on Tuesday.

Last date for application: December 17, 2025

Last date for fee submission: December 20, 2025

Application fee:

General/OBC/EWS – ₹400

SC/ST – ₹300

Applications can only be made after completing an OTR (One-Time Registration) on the official recruitment portal. Over 100,000 candidates have already completed the OTR.

  • Lucknow: 1371 posts
  • Agra: 1232 posts
  • Prayagraj: 1219 posts
  • Hardoi: 1072 posts

  • Bhadohi: Only 43 posts

The recruitment board has clarified that the number of vacancies may change at any time before the exam.

Which candidates will not be eligible?

  • Candidates in certain categories are not eligible to apply.
  • Regular employees in government, semi-government, corporation, or public sector undertakings
  • Employees removed from any department
  • Those with a pending criminal case in court
  • Men/women with more than one spouse
  • Candidates with disabilities and physical or mental disabilities
  • Furthermore, the applicant must be a native of the same district.

Educational Qualification and Age Limit

Eligibility: 10th Pass

Age Limit:

  • General Candidates: 18–30 years (as of July 1, 2025)
  • SC/ST/OBC candidates receive a 5-year age relaxation
  • Ex-servicemen receive an additional 3-year age relaxation after deducting their service period
  • Only their high school mark sheet will be valid for age proof.

What will the selection process be like?

The Home Guard recruitment will consist of several stages.

1. Written Exam (100 marks)

OMR-based exam

100 questions, 2 hours

Registration automatically cancelled if marks are less than 25%.

2. Document Verification and Physical Standard Test

A board will be formed in each district under the chairmanship of the SDM.

3. Physical Efficiency Test (Run)

Men: 4.8 km run – 28 minutes

Women: 2.4 km run – 16 minutes

  • Bharat Scouts and Guides – 1 to 3 points
  • Disaster Friend Training – 3 points
  • Valid four-wheeler driving license – 1 point

Why is this recruitment special?

On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, this recruitment is being conducted on the lines of constable recruitment.
