Schools Closed : Children are in for a treat in the month of October. Numerous festivals are scheduled for October, resulting in several school holidays. October begins with Gandhi Jayanti and Dussehra, followed by festivals like Karva Chauth, Diwali, Govardhan Puja, and Bhai Dooj. Several Holidays in the First Week
According to sources, schools in UP will be closed on October 1st and 2nd for Dussehra. In some places, schools will also be closed for Durga Ashtami. Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti is celebrated on October 7. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has declared a holiday on October 7. Government offices and banks will also be closed entirely on October 7th.

October 3: Sunday
October 7: Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti. Therefore, all schools, colleges, and offices will be closed.
October 18, Dhanteras: Schools and colleges are closed on the occasion of Dhanteras.
October 20, Narak Chaturdashi: Narak Chaturdashi is also known as Chhoti Diwali. Schools across the country will also be closed on this day.
October 21, Diwali: The festival of Diwali will be celebrated on October 21. Schools and colleges in many areas will also be closed on this day.
October 22, Govardhan Puja: Schools and colleges will also be closed on the day of Govardhan Puja.
October 23, Bhai Dooj: Bhai Dooj is the last day of Diwali. Schools will be closed on this day.
October 27-28, Chhath Puja: The Chhath Puja festival is celebrated with great pomp in Bihar, Jharkhand, and eastern India. Children’s schools will also be closed during these days.
