Are you a beneficiary of the Maharashtra government’s ‘Ladki Bahin Yojana’? An urgent message has arrived for beneficiaries of this scheme! The government has made e-KYC mandatory, but the verification (e-KYC) of over 1 crore women is still incomplete. Will these women be excluded from the scheme if they don’t complete their e-KYC by November 18th? Learn why the deadline is likely to be extended, and how to complete e-KYC in just a few minutes to receive the ₹1,500 installment—this crucial information is crucial for you.
Why is the e-KYC of 1 crore women incomplete

The Maharashtra government launched the Ladki Bahin Yojana to provide financial assistance to women in the state and empower them with self-reliance. Approximately 25 million beneficiaries are registered under this scheme, but shockingly, only 13 million women have completed their e-KYC so far. This means that over 1 crore women are still missing this crucial verification.
Deadline likely to be extended
A senior official from the Maharashtra government’s Women and Child Development Department clarified that it would be unfair to exclude such a large number of women from the scheme simply because their e-KYC is incomplete.
Therefore, it is entirely possible that if e-KYC is not completed for all women by November 18th, the government may extend the e-KYC deadline. This decisive step will ensure that all eligible beneficiary women receive the full benefits of the scheme and have the ₹1,500 credited to their bank accounts.
Complete the online process in minutes
Getting e-KYC done for the Ladki Bahin Yojana is extremely easy and takes only a few minutes. You can complete this process yourself online or by visiting the nearest Anganwadi center, Setu center, or tehsil office.
Detailed procedure to complete e-KYC

First, visit the scheme’s official website, ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in.
Click on the ‘eKYC’ option on the homepage.
Enter your Aadhaar number and captcha code in the e-KYC form. Tick the “Yes, I agree” checkbox and click the “Send OTP” button.
An OTP will be sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile number. Enter the OTP and submit. If your e-KYC has already been completed, the message “eKYC already done” will appear on the screen.
If e-KYC has not been completed, the system will check if your Aadhaar number is listed for the scheme. If it is, the next step will open.
Now enter your husband’s or father’s Aadhaar number and captcha code, receive the OTP, and submit.
Now select your caste category and make two declarations: first, no one in the family is in a government job or pension scheme; And second, only one married and one unmarried woman in the family is benefiting from the scheme.
Tick both checkboxes and press the ‘Submit’ button. Finally, a “Success” message will appear on the screen indicating that your e-KYC verification has been completed.
Once e-KYC is complete, you will definitely be eligible to receive the benefits of the upcoming installments of the Ladki Bahin Yojana.
