Eligibility Criteria for the Scheme
The unemployment allowance scheme is available only to youth who meet the eligibility criteria set by the government. Applicants must be citizens and permanent residents of India. They must be between 18 and 35 years of age. The minimum educational qualification is 12th grade pass, with graduates or postgraduates preferred. The annual income of the applicant’s family must not exceed ₹2.5 lakh, and no family member should be in a government job. Furthermore, only one person from a family can benefit from this scheme. The applicant’s bank account must be active and linked to an Aadhaar card so that the amount can be transferred directly to the account.

- Interested candidates must first visit the scheme’s official website.
- Once the website opens, select the “New Registration” option and enter their mobile number.
- After OTP verification, a user ID and password will be generated, allowing the applicant to login.
- After logging in, enter your name, address, educational information, and bank details in the application form.
- Scan and upload the required documents and submit the application.
- If the applicant is found eligible after verification of the details by the officials, an amount of ₹2,500 will be transferred directly to their bank account each month.
