Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam completed 15,000 runs in international cricket during the final ODI against South Africa. He became the fifth Pakistani batsman to achieve this feat.

Big achivement for Babar Azam

But the most significant thing is that he reached this milestone in the fewest innings compared to other Pakistani batsmen. Apart from Babar, Inzamam-ul-Haq, Younis Khan, Mohammad Yousuf and Javed Miandad have also achieved this feat for Pakistan.

Babar Azam is known for his consistency and excellent performance in all three formats (Test, ODI, T20). Babar Azam has achieved this feat in just 370 innings, whereas the other four great Pakistani batsmen had to play between 400 to 550 innings to reach this figure. Babar Azam played an inning of 27 runs in 32 balls in the third ODI against South Africa.

However, he was run out while trying to take three runs. In 329 matches, Babar has scored 15004 runs at an average of 45.46, which includes 31 centuries and 104 half-centuries, his best score is 196.
