The race for electric SUVs in the Indian automobile market has intensified, and now Mahindra is about to enter the competition with its new contender. The company has officially released a teaser for its new 7-seater electric SUV – the Mahindra XEV 9S. This SUV will be launched on November 27th at the “Mahindra Scream Electric Event”. First Look
Let me tell you, Mahindra has shown a small teaser video to his fans, which shows the rough and bold design of the XEV 9S. The new slated grill design, aero-style alloy wheels and redesigned LED DRLs at the front give it a futuristic look.
The silhouette of this SUV looks like the XUV700, but many new elements have been added to it — such as roof rails, redesign taillamps and slated boot sections, giving it a completely new identity. The special thing is that this time a panoramic sunroof is given, which used to come in the form of a glass roof in the earlier XEV 9e.

Talk about the interior, it will get triple-screen setup, Harman Kardon sound system, 7 airbags, head-up display (HUD), ambient lighting, dual wireless charger and ventilated front seats. In addition, Safety will also include ADAS Suite (Advanced Driver Assistance System), making it one of the most safe electric SUVs in the segment.
Power and Battery
The new Mahindra XEV 9S can see the same battery options as those given in XEV 9e — 59 kWh and 79 kWh. This is likely to give the SUV a spectacular range, which can range from about 450-500 kilometers.
In addition, the company can also offer All-Wheel Drive (AWD) version, which will compete with EVs like Tata Harrier.ev. Its power output and torque will be more powerful than before, giving it great performance on both off-road and highway.
Price and Launch Date
Mahindra has confirmed that the XEV 9S will be launched on 27 November 2025. The launch event will take place in the company’s special program called “Scream Electric”, in which Mahindra will showcase its entire electric lineup.

Talking about the price, it is expected that Mahindra XEV 9S will be priced between ₹23.60 lakh to ₹34 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). This price range makes it a strong contender in the Indian electric SUV market, especially in front of models such as MG ZS EV, Tata Harrier.ev and Hyundai Kona Electric.
