What ingredients are needed to make Chyavanprash?
Amla (Indian gooseberry) – 1 kg
Ghee – 200 grams
Honey – 250 grams
Jaggery – 500 grams
Clove powder – 1 teaspoon
Cardamom powder – 1 teaspoon

Cinnamon powder – 1 teaspoon
Giloy powder – 2 tablespoons
Ashwagandha powder – 2 tablespoons
Liquorice powder – 2 tablespoons
Saffron – a few strands
Other herbs – as needed
How is amla pulp prepared?
First, wash the gooseberries thoroughly and steam them until they are completely soft. Then, remove the seeds from the gooseberries and blend them into a fine pulp in a blender.

How do I prepare the base?
Heat a heavy pan and add ghee to it. Then add the amla pulp and cook it over low heat, stirring constantly. Next, add the jaggery and honey and continue cooking until it thickens.
How and when should you add spices and herbs?
Once the mixture has thickened, add all the spices and mix well so that all the ingredients are combined. If you like, you can also add saffron strands to it and cook it for another 10 minutes. Then turn off the gas and, once it has completely cooled, transfer it to an airtight container.
