Bihar Election 2025 – The Grand Alliance has released its manifesto for the Bihar Assembly elections. The manifesto contains significant populist promises aimed at all sections of society. Meanwhile, the Grand Alliance is set to begin its joint rallies today, Wednesday.
Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, and former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav will hold public meetings in Bihar today to seek votes. Party workers have been preparing for their rallies for several days.
Political experts believe that a close contest is likely between the Grand Alliance and the NDA in Bihar. However, claims are rife of a full majority by both parties. In the 2020 Assembly elections, the Grand Alliance fell just a few seats short.
Where will Tejashwi and Rahul hold public meetings?
Rahul Gandhi is returning to Bihar after nearly two months. On Wednesday, Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav will hold public meetings in Muzaffarpur and Darbhanga on a shared platform. These two rallies will also send a message of unity and the absence of any discord within the Grand Alliance. Previously, disagreements had surfaced among the Grand Alliance parties regarding seat sharing.
There are several seats where the Grand Alliance parties are in a friendly fight. The confusion regarding the Chief Ministerial candidate has also ended. All parties agreed on Tejashwi Yadav’s name and announced that he will also be appointed Deputy CM in the Grand Alliance government.
Muzaffarpur and Bharbhanga are districts where the NDA saw an increase. In Darbhanga, the Grand Alliance won only one seat out of 10 assembly constituencies. Here, the BJP won four, the JDU three, and the VIP two. One seat went to the RJD.
When will the first phase of elections be held?
For information, the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections will be held on November 6th. The second phase of voting will take place on November 11th. Results for all 243 assembly seats will be declared on November 14th, 2025. All eyes are on the Bihar elections. NDA leaders are citing Nitish Kumar’s good governance as a reason for seeking votes. The opposition has raised unemployment, inflation, and rising crime rates as issues.
