Tulsi Vivah 2025: Tulsi Vivah is celebrated on the Dwadashi Tithi of the Shukla Paksha of the month of Kartik. This year, the Tulsi Vivah festival will be celebrated on November 2, 2025. According to beliefs, Tulsi Vivah is considered very sacred. Performing Tulsi Vivah on this day brings the same benefits as Kanyadaan. Donating certain special items on this day also bestows the blessings of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi.
On the occasion of Tulsi Vivah, Tulsi Mata, the embodiment of Goddess Lakshmi, is married to Lord Shaligram, the embodiment of Vishnu. It is said that the day before, Lord Vishnu awakens from his four-month yogic sleep. On this day, Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi are also worshipped with rituals.
In Hinduism, Kanyadaan is considered a significant donation. However, some couples who do not have a daughter do not receive the benefits of Kanyadaan. Therefore, on the day of Tulsi Vivah, couples can consider Tulsi Mata as their daughter and perform Kanyadaan. Giving away a daughter in marriage on this day brings auspicious results. Donating clothes and jewellery is also considered highly auspicious.
