Tulsi Vivah 2025: Tulsi Vivah is performed every year on the Dwadashi Tithi of the Shukla Paksha (waxing moon) of the month of Kartika, and it typically occurs the day after Devuthani Ekadashi. If you plan to participate in a ritual like Tulsi Vivah, don’t forget to include the necessary puja materials so that your wedding ceremony doesn’t face any obstacles.

Essential Items for Tulsi Vivah

  1. Tulsi plant, Shaligram, and an idol of Lord Vishnu
  2. New red cloth, Kalash, and puja platform
  3. Suhaag items, including anklets, henna, vermillion, bindi, and chunri
  4. Seasonal fruits and vegetables, including radish, water chestnut, guava, amla, and plum
  5. Banana leaves and a lump of turmeric
  6. Coconut, camphor, incense, lamps, and sandalwood

Prepare for Tulsi Vivah like this

First, you’ll need to decorate the mandap with banana leaves and sugarcane for the Tulsi Vivah ritual. After this, decorate the place of worship with rangoli and place a Tulsi plant, Shaligram, or an idol of Lord Vishnu there. Then, begin the wedding rituals.

During this time, offer Suhaag items to Goddess Tulsi, along with sugarcane, bananas, water chestnuts, and radishes. Next, light 11 ghee lamps and sing hymns. Afterwards, perform aarti and distribute the prasad to everyone.

This must be done

Tulsi leaves must be included in the offerings to Lord Vishnu on Tulsi Vivah. This is because Lord Vishnu does not accept the offerings without them. Furthermore, including Tulsi leaves in the offerings bestows Lord Vishnu’s blessings.

On Tulsi Vivah, after sunset, light a ghee lamp near the Tulsi plant. Then, circumambulate the Tulsi plant 7 to 11 times. Doing so brings auspicious results, happiness, and prosperity to the family.
