Lakshmi Pujan on Diwali should begin during Pradosh Kaal, and the north-east and north directions of the house are most auspicious for Lakshmi Pujan. First, clean the place of worship, gather all the materials, and install the Goddess’s platform. Then, draw a Swastika. Place rice in a bowl over this swastika. Spread a new red cloth on the pedestal and install idols of Goddess Lakshmi and Ganesha. Then, invoke all the gods and goddesses, sprinkle Ganga water on them, and take a vow to perform the puja.

After this, offer flowers, incense, lamps, and all the Diwali worship materials to Goddess Lakshmi, Lord Ganesha, Kubera Dev, Goddess Saraswati, and Hanuman Ji installed on the pedestal.
