You will know that the Indian SUV market is growing steadily and this segment is going to be even more exciting in the coming 12 months. Large companies such as Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Mahindra, Toyota, Renault and Nissan are preparing to launch their new midsize SUVs.
Some of these will be traditional ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) models, while many are to come in the form of fully electric SUVs. So let’s know which SUVs are ready to grow in the Indian market in the coming year.

Maruti Suzuki eVitara
India’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki is going to launch its first electric SUV eVitara soon. The car will be sold through Nexa dealerships and will get two battery options which will give a range of more than 500 km once charged.
Its cabin will find many premium features such as large touchscreen infotainment system, digital driver’s display, ventilated front seats, and Level 2 ADAS technology. eVitara can prove to be a major step not only for Maruti but also for India’s EV market.Large companies such as rs, Mahindra, Toyota, Renault and Nissan are preparing to launch their new midsize SUVs. Toyota Urban Cruiser BEV
Toyota Urban Cruiser BEV can be called the twin model of eVitara as both SUVs will be based on the same e-Heartect platform. However, there will be little difference in design and dimension but it will be almost identical in terms of features.
This SUV will also give two battery options and a range of around 500 km. It is expected that Toyota will launch this model in India shortly after the launch of eVitara.
New Renault Duster
Although Renault Duster, which has ever become the hallmark of the SUV segment in India, is now going to return to a new avatar. The new Duster is designed on the CMF-B+ modular platform and can be launched in the first half of 2026.
Initially this SUV will come with petrol engine options, while later its hybrid version will also be introduced. Renault is once again trying to replicate Duster’s old magic with new designs, improved features and strong performance.
Nissan Tekton
Renault’s partner company Nissan is also preparing to launch a new midsize SUV Tekton. This SUV will also be based on CMF-B+ platform and will share mechanical parts with Duster.
Tekton will be launched as a five-seater SUV and can identify as a stylish and robust SUV, just like the old Nissan Terrano. This SUV in India may prove to be the beginning of a new era for Nissan.

Mahindra XEV 7e
Also, the next big name in Mahindra’s electric portfolio will be XEV 7e, which will be based on the XUV.e8 concept. This SUV is being designed keeping in mind the future mobility.
The XEV 7e is likely to find a battery setup similar to Mahindra’s flagship EVs such as the XEV 9e and BE6. This SUV will not only give strong performance, but can set a new direction in the EV market with long range and advanced features.
