Mahindra XUV 7XO: The excitement Mahindra generates in the SUV market every time is now building around its next major update, the Mahindra XUV 7XO. This will be the brand’s next major facelift after the XUV700, which has been spotted testing several times.
Similar to the name update for the XUV3XO, Mahindra is now preparing to give the XUV700 a new name, with the XUV7XO nameplate officially trademarked. This SUV is set to create a new identity in the Indian market in the coming months.

𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲
First talk about its launch, according to Media reports, production of the new XUV 7XO is expected to start in December 2025. The launch is likely to take place in January 2026. This SUV will compete directly with the new Tata Safari, which is soon to come with its new 1.5L turbo petrol engine. This collision of Next-gen Safari and XUV 7XO will make the 2026 SUV segment the most exciting.
𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲
Mahindra will not make major changes to the engine lineup in this facelift. The XUV 7XO is expected to have the same powerful options. 2.0-litre turbo petrol (4-cylinder) and 2.2-litre turbo diesel (4-cylinder).Its transmission will offer 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic options. Diesel automatic models will continue to have FWD as well as AWD (all-wheel-drive) options.

In the 2026 Mahindra XUV 7XO, noticeable changes will be seen in terms of design. The body shape of its SUV will be kept almost the same, but the major in front fascia has been updated. Spy shots show that this facelift features new reworked front grille, brand new LED headlamps and new signature of updated C-shaped LED DRLs.
Also new bumpers, fresh alloy wheels and updated tail-lamps will add more premium appeal. Rear profile may appear more modern and bold, giving the SUV more imposing look on the road.
𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿
If you talk about its interior, then the change in Interior is going to be the biggest highlight. The cabin of the new XUV 7XO will be inspired by the design of the XEV 9e. The new dashboard of the SUV will come with a futuristic setup of three large screens.
