NHAI has taken a significant step to provide the travelers a more enhanced experinece on the highways. For that, they have started a new campaign. From this campaign, you will get a chance to win a good amount of money.

Reward of Rs 1,000

The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), a public sector company, has launched a special campaign to promote passenger convenience and cleanliness. Under this campaign, any highway user reporting an unsanitary toilet at a toll plaza will receive a reward of Rs 1,000. This reward will be provided in the form of a FASTag recharge, and the scheme will remain in effect until October 31, 2025. The aim of this initiative is to improve the cleanliness and maintenance of toilets located at national highway toll plazas and provide better amenities to travelers. NHAI states that such public-participation drives will increase citizen participation and strengthen the “Clean India” mission.

What you have to do?

According to NHAI, highway users can upload photos of dirty toilets through the latest version of the ‘RajmargYatra’ mobile app. They must provide the following information along with the photo: the user’s name, location, vehicle registration number, and mobile number. The photo must be geo-tagged so that the NHAI team can accurately identify the location. Each vehicle registration number (VRN) reporting such cases will receive a reward of ₹1,000 in the form of a Fastag recharge. This will be credited to the vehicle registration number linked by the user.

According to the statement, the campaign will only apply to toilets constructed and operated within NHAI jurisdiction. Other toilets located at retail fuel stations, dhabas, or other public facilities outside NHAI’s control are excluded. The statement added that each vehicle registration number will be eligible for only one reward during the entire scheme period. Furthermore, each National Highway toilet facility will be eligible for a reward only once per day, regardless of the number of reports received for that location.

Who will be rewarded?

If multiple reports are received for the same toilet on the same day, only the first valid photo reported through the HighwayYatra app will be eligible for the reward. The statement said that only clear, geo-tagged, and time-stamped photos taken through the app will be considered. Any tampered, duplicate, or previously reported photos will be rejected.
