The Basalt X comes standard with six airbags, ESP and hill-hold assistance, which is excellent for safety. Coming into its engine, the Basalt X petrol engine is a 1.2L 3-cylinder NA engine that generates 82hp and 115Nm of torque. Its light curb weight and good gear ratio make it perfect for city driving. In terms of mileage, the NA petrol engine delivers 18kmpl, while its turbo-petrol version is more efficient and delivers up to 19.5kmpl.

Basalt X petrol variants cost between ₹7.95 lakh and ₹9.42 lakh, while turbo-petrol variants range from ₹10.82 lakh to ₹13.11 lakh. It is cheaper than the Maruti Desire in terms of price, but surpasses it in terms of features and practicality.
