New Delhi: The wait for the Vande Bharat Sleeper Express to begin operations is growing. The Indian Railways is expected to launch the Vande Bharat Sleeper Express soon. The train is fully ready, and all that’s left is to flag it off. It’s expected that Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself will flag it off.

This train could be operational before Diwali. According to a report, it could be operational by October 10, 2025. Only after both trains are ready will the route be selected for operation. The Vande Bharat Sleeper Express will run from Delhi to Patna. However, official information about this has not yet been released.

The wait for the launch of the Vande Bharat Sleeper Express is expected to end soon. The sleeper train will run from Delhi to Patna, the capital of Bihar. It could then be operated between Delhi and Varanasi or Delhi and Kolkata. However, no official decision has yet been made on which route the first Vande Bharat Sleeper train will operate.

The interiors of the Vande Bharat Sleeper coaches will be attractive and modern. Special attention has been paid to improved lighting and aesthetic design for passengers. For passenger convenience, efforts have been made to make the berths even more comfortable than those on the Rajdhani Express.

Features of the Vande Bharat Sleeper

The Vande Bharat Sleeper Express is equipped with modern features, including automatic doors, touch-free bio-vacuum toilets, and CCTV cameras. According to sources, the first Vande Bharat Sleeper train may run before Diwali. It utilises integral coach technology. The Vande Bharat Sleeper train may consist of 16 coaches.

It may be divided into AC First Class, AC 2-Tier, and AC 3-Tier. Most importantly, the 16-coach train will be able to carry 1,128 passengers. Its speed is expected to reach 180 kilometres per hour. This Vande Bharat sleeper train is considered one of PM Narendra Modi’s dream projects.
