Vande Bharat Sleeper Update : The fatigue of long journeys in India will now be a thing of the past, as a new era is about to begin for Indian Railways passengers. By the end of December this year, the country’s first Vande Bharat sleeper train will be running on the tracks. This train will be a perfect blend of the speed of Tejas, the comfort of Rajdhani, and the modern technology of Vande Bharat.
Indian Railways is preparing for the trial run in full swing, and passengers are eagerly awaiting it. According to railway sources, two racks are being manufactured at the Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) factory in Bengaluru. Finishing work on one of these racks has been completed. The first rack will depart for Northern Railway on December 12th.
Trial run soon
According to railway sources, trial runs of the Vande Bharat Sleeper train will begin on the Patna-Delhi route. Railway officials stated that regular operations will begin once the test report is approved on time. Danapur division officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed that regular operations will begin by the end of the month. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav also provided an update, stating that this train will be a game-changer for long-distance travelers.
This train will have a total of 16 coaches, providing 827 berths. Third AC will include 11 coaches (611 berths), Second AC will include 4 coaches (188 berths), and First AC will include 1 coach (24 berths). The number of coaches can be expanded to 24 if needed. The train is designed to allow passengers to sleep comfortably overnight. Estimated fares for Third AC are expected to be around Rs 2,000, which is similar to Rajdhani fares, but with better amenities.
Modern facilities and high speed
The Vande Bharat Sleeper will feature automatic doors, bio-toilets, CCTV cameras, personal reading lights on each berth, and a premium interior. For safety, it features an armor anti-collision system and a crash-proof body design. With a maximum speed of 160-180 km/h, the Delhi-Patna journey will take 11-11.5 hours.PrayagrajIt will run through which will make overnight journey more convenient.
Millions of passengers travel daily on the Patna-Delhi route. This train will not only save time but also increase comfort. Passengers say that the popularity of Vande Bharat has already been proven, and now the sleeper version will make long journeys easier. The Railways has begun preparations for ticket booking on the IRCTC app. This launch will set an example of ‘Make in India’, taking the Railways to new heights.
There will be expansion on future and routes
According to the Railway Ministry, the Sleeper Vande Bharat Express is designed to replace the Rajdhani Express. There are plans to introduce it on routes like the Gorakhpur-Delhi Express starting in December. This will not only reduce travel time but also boost tourism and trade. Experts believe this train will also increase railway revenue
