Chhat Puja Special Trains – Good news for train passengers. Major festivals like Diwali and Chhath see a large number of people traveling from Bihar and North India. Keeping this in mind, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has announced that 12,000 special trains will be run during the festivals.
The decision was made after the Railway Minister held a meeting with Bihar NDA leaders. He said that after discussions with state leaders, not only new trains but several other schemes and projects have been initiated to address the travel needs of the people.
The Railway Minister announced that four new Amrit Bharat trains will be introduced to meet the festive rush. These trains will run between Delhi-Gaya, Saharsa-Amritsar, Chhapra-Delhi, and Muzaffarpur-Hyderabad. Their purpose is to provide better facilities to general class passengers.
At a meeting in Delhi, Bihar NDA leaders reviewed festival preparations with the Railway Minister and urged him to pay special attention to the convenience of the state’s passengers. The Railway Minister also announced a new experimental scheme. Under this scheme, passengers traveling between October 13th and 26th will receive confirmed tickets. Return fares between November 17th and December 1st will receive a 20% discount.
