New Delhi: The tariff war between the US and India is going on very fast. Amidst the tariff war between the two countries, PM Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to China. The world’s eyes are fixed on the SCO summit. It is starting from Tianjin, China from today.
PM Narendra Modi will be together with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin on the SCO platform. PM Modi’s visit to China has become even more important in view of the sudden deterioration in India-US relations due to Donald Trump’s tariff policies.
The SCO conference will run till September 1
PM Modi has come to China mainly to attend the annual summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) on 31 August and 1 September. PM Narendra Modi arrived in China on Saturday after a gap of more than seven years. PM Modi last visited China in June 2018 to attend the SCO summit.
Then Chinese President Jinping came to India for the second “informal summit” in October 2019. But relations between the two countries became tense after the clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers in Galwan Valley in June 2020.
