After a video of his bouncer assaulting a fan at a rally in Madurai went viral, an FIR has been registered against the actor. The incident is being widely discussed on social media, and people are pretty angry with Vijay.
It all started when Vijay reached Madurai for a political rally ahead of the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. A huge crowd gathered at the event, who were desperate to get a glimpse of their favourite actor. Vijay was also happy to see the love of the people.
Bouncer’s brutality shocked.
During the rally, a fan climbed on the stage and tried to meet Vijay. But before he could reach Vijay, everyone was shocked to see what his bouncer did to him. In the viral video, it is clearly visible that Vijay is walking down the ramp, accompanied by his bouncers. Then, a bouncer brutally picks up that fan from the ramp and throws him down.
Injured fan files FIR
The name of the person who was thrown down is Sarath Kumar. Sarath has alleged that he just wanted to see Vijay closely, but he was beaten up. A case has been registered against Vijay and his bouncer at Perambalur police station under sections 189(2), 296(B) and 115(I) of the Indian Justice Code.
It is seen in the video that after the bouncer pushes him, Sarath grabs a pipe in an attempt to save himself, but during this he got severely injured. Sarath has filed this FIR only after getting injured.
This incident can prove to be a big setback for Vijay’s political journey, as it is hurting his public image. People on social media are constantly condemning this incident and saying that Vijay should be more sensitive towards his supporters.
