Free ration of 5.37 lakh people stopped in this district, preparations to suspend the card

We would like to inform you that the government has given a significant shock to many ration card holders in Uttar Pradesh. The government has announced this. This time, more than 5 lakh ration card holders will not be provided the benefit of ration in August. Along with this, their name will be removed from the ration card for three months. In the meantime, they will not be given a ration. Action has been taken by the department after being asked to get eKYC done many times and then being negligent.

These ration card holders will face problems

The last date for getting e-KYC has expired. Now, according to the order of the government, the names of the beneficiaries who have not done e-KYC on time will be removed from their ration cards. Due to this order of the government, lakhs of people may face problems in getting ration, especially those who did not get e-KYC done despite repeated warnings. The names of children up to 5 years old will be suspended. Their number is 11123 in the district. At the same time, the number of negligent people is higher in rural areas than in urban areas.

Let us tell you that there are a total of 8 lakh 88 thousand 315 ration cards in the district, including Antyodaya and eligible households, through which about 34 lakh 68 thousand 348 beneficiaries will be given ration at a lower price. The name will be deleted even if there is negligence in getting eKYC done. Let us tell you that till now, only 81.4 percent of beneficiaries in urban areas and 78.57 percent of beneficiaries in rural areas have had eKYC done. Out of which 35892 beneficiaries in urban areas and 5 lakh 13 thousand 75 beneficiaries in rural areas have not had eKYC done.

So many names will be removed from the list

For information, let us tell you that about 5 lakh 37 thousand 844 people will not be given the benefit of ration in the month of August due to not getting eKYC done. According to the departmental conditions, continuous efforts are being made to get 100% eKYC done. In this, the process of e-KYC has been affected due to reasons like linking of mobile number, Aadhaar link, any technical problem, etc. If the date for getting eKYC done is extended at the government level, then the beneficiaries will be given one more chance.

Otherwise, the beneficiaries will be considered bogus and their names will be suspended from the ration card list for three months. Strictness will be taken on this. In the first phase, rationing will be stopped. After this, as per the instructions of the government, the name of the ration card will be removed from the list.

For information, let us tell you that instructions were issued by the government to get eKYC done for all ration card holders.
