He clearly stated that merely issuing challans (fines) is not a permanent solution to prevent road accidents. Strict action should be taken against those who repeatedly violate traffic rules. A clear system should be established for actions such as seizing driving licenses and impounding vehicles. The Chief Minister said that road safety is directly related to people’s lives; therefore, there should be no negligence whatsoever.

Two Drivers Mandatory for Long-Distance Vehicles
The Chief Minister instructed that the fitness of ambulances and school vehicles be regularly checked and that no unfit vehicle should be allowed on the road. Two drivers should be made mandatory for large passenger vehicles traveling more than 300 kilometers to prevent accidents caused by fatigue.

The PWD and other concerned agencies have been instructed to rectify these deficiencies on time. Strict Action Against Stunt Driving and Disorder

Bus, tempo, or rickshaw stands should not be set up along the roadsides. Police patrolling should be increased, and strict action should be taken against illegal parking. Construction materials should not be left scattered on the roads, and illegally parked vehicles and trucks that are left standing for extended periods along highways and expressways should be removed immediately to prevent accidents.
