PM Awas Yojana 2.0: To provide housing to needy eligible citizens, the online application process has been started under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban 2.0. In this regard, DC Abhishek Meena held a meeting with the concerned officials in the Mini Secretariat Auditorium and gave guidelines. To avail the scheme, eligible citizens can apply online by visiting the portal.
The application process has been made simple and transparent so that more and more people can take advantage of it. Aadhar card, residence certificate, income certificate, bank account details and other necessary documents are required for the application. Apart from this, you can apply from Common Service Center (CSC). For more information, you can contact the local Municipal Council office.
Cheap and affordable houses will be available
Under this scheme, cheap and affordable houses are being provided by the government, so that the urban poor can get safe and permanent shelter. This scheme is not limited to just giving a roof to the poor but it is also an effort to improve their standard of living. DC said that the concerned officers should play an active role in providing housing to the eligible people by adding them to the scheme.
