The Indian government has a bunch of schemes designed to help its citizens. Different groups of people benefit from various government initiatives, with many aimed specifically at those who are less fortunate. Some of these schemes offer financial support, while others focus on skill development to help people find jobs. One notable program is the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana, which we’ll dive into now.

So, what’s the deal with the PM Vishwakarma Yojana? It’s all about supporting folks in small trades. When people sign up for this scheme, they receive a few days of training from the government, and during that time, they get a stipend of Rs 500 each day. Once they finish their training, they get a one-time payment of Rs 15,000 to help them buy tools for their trade. Plus, there’s a loan option of up to Rs 1 lakh available at low interest rates and without needing any collateral. After paying back that loan, they can even apply for another one of up to Rs 2 lakh.

Now, who can jump on board? There are some eligibility requirements for the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana. It’s open to goldsmiths, stone cutters, sculptors, ironworkers, barbers, locksmiths, shoemakers, fishing net makers, toy makers, weapon makers, garland makers, masons, and even those who make brooms, baskets, mats, laundry services, boats, and tool kits.

To get in on the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana, just head over to your closest Common Service Center. Once you’re there, chat with the staff to see if you qualify. After that, you’ll need to submit your documents for verification. If everything checks out and you’re eligible, the staff will help you apply for the scheme.
