Weather Update-Gujarat Floods Red Alert Issued, 30 People Dead, IMD Issues Heavy Rain

Weather Forecast: Heavy rains have caused havoc across the country at this time. Most of the country’s states are currently experiencing heavy rains. Heavy rains are being witnessed in many countries including UP, Bihar, Delhi, Himachal and Uttarakhand.

But, at this time there is an outcry in Gujarat due to heavy rains. 19 people died due to heavy rains in Gujarat. As a result, the death toll has surpassed 30 in the last three days. Flood-affected areas have seen the relocation of 17,800 people to safer places. Some areas of Gujarat also recorded heavy rains on Wednesday.

The Indian Air Force is helping in Gujarat.

He has had a conversation with Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel to assess the situation. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has given information about the conversation with PM Modi on Media Platform X. CM Patel said that he has spoken with PM Modi over the phone about the current situation due to heavy rains in Gujarat.

Heavy rain warning issued in Gujarat

The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert in 11 districts of Gujarat and a yellow alert in 22 districts for the next five days. Those killed include Ahmedabad, Jamnagar, Devbhoomi Dwarka, Panchmahal, Aravalli, Dang, Surendranagar, Dahod, Kheda, Bharuch, Anand, Mahisagar, Vadodara, Gandhinagar and Morbi.

According to the IMD, heavy rains are expected in 12 districts of Gujarat – Kutch, Devbhoomi Dwarka, Jamnagar, Morbi, Surendranagar, Rajkot, Porbandar, Junagadh, Gir Somnath, Amreli, Bhavnagar and Botad.

According to PTI, Bhanvad taluka of Devbhoomi Dwarka district has recorded 185 mm of rain during this period, which is the highest in the state.

The Army has deployed six columns to support 14 National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and 22 State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) teams conducting rescue and relief operations in the state.

“Heavy rains have been lashing Dwarka in the last two days… water has entered people’s homes… our team has rescued 95 people so far,” ANI quoted him as saying. Meanwhile, the death toll in rain-related accidents across the city has risen to 30.
